Vote for Clean, Accountable Water Governance
Cook County taxpayers fund a $1.8 billion water district. Your property tax bill pays for it. I'm running to make sure every dollar goes toward cleaning water and preventing floods — nothing else.
About Michelle
I'm running for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) Board of Commissioners because Cook County taxpayers deserve a water district that does one thing exceptionally well: clean water and prevent flooding. Every dollar the MWRD spends on programs outside its mission is a dollar that didn't fix a flooded basement, upgrade a treatment plant, or expand the Deep Tunnel. I'm running to change that. I need your support to do it.

— Choose Michelle Pennington for MWRD Commissioner on November 3, 2026
— MWRD races are decided by hundreds of votes, not hundreds of thousands.
Your $100 donation in Cook County is more impactful than $2,500 in a Senate race

— Most Cook County residents have an MWRD charge on their property tax bill and don't know what it is.
